Prior to starting JEI in 1985 John Evans spent 15 years running container depots. In Leeds, during the early 1980's, his depot was the first in the world to use hand-held computers for container inspection and estimating. The benefits of such technology, are now widely accepted and employed.   Present With over 200 systems installed in six continents JEI are market leaders in systems for Container Depot, Repair, Inspection, Sales, Rental, Estimating and M&R control. JEI are unique in having developed automatic translation and input links to third party systems including Hapag Lloyd, Maersk, OOCL, Cedex/IAS/iDex24/Sterling Commerce, IDCS, Evergreen, Grimaldi, MSC CREAS, CMA-CGM MARTA. All commonly used EDI messages are incorporated including: COPARN, CODECO, GATEIN, GATOUT, WESTIM, DESTIM, WORDER, X12 322, X12 412, IDCS 4X2. We also have automatic links to accounts packages including Quickbooks and IRIS Exchequer.
